Cold Stream in Passadumkeag, about 35 minutes north of Orono, offers some outstanding quiet water paddling. The access point is actually on Passadumkeag River at a small turnout on Goulds River Rd before the bridge and the intersection with Pleasent Street and St John Rd. Paddle right from the access for just a bit and the mouth of Cold Stream will be on your left. Then just follow the winding stream and enjoy the solitude.
